Wunnumin Lake is hosting its Annual Advent Gospel Jamboree starting Friday, December 4, 2009 to Sunday, December 6, 2009. The Wunnumin Lake Gospel Jamboree will be broadcasted locally and through WRN from 7:00pm to 12:00am. All are welcome to come to the Jamboree. For listener’s out there, we welcome you to listen in and enjoy.

The School Trip Fundraising Committee are hosting a Fleamarket at the Gymnasium on Saturday, December 5, 2009. $10.00 per table. Door admission is $1.00. Set up at 5:30pm and door opens at 6:00pm.

Wunnumin Lake School Trip Fundraising Committe are hosting a Poker Tournament on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Gymnasium starting at 8:00pm. So if you are interested in playing in Poker Tournament you need to sign up before 8:00pm Friday evening. The entry is $75.00 per player and there is no re-buy.
The Main Prize is a Mini Laptop and 2 cash prizes.

Christmas Parade

There will be a community Christmas Parade happening on Friday, December 4, 2009 starting at 3:00pm. The location of the starting point will be announced at the radio station.
You can join if you have the vehicle. Decorate vehicle is appreciated.
All participants will recieve a ticket and the tickets will be drawn after the parade.

Human Resources Administrator
(6 month contract)
Musselwhite Mine are seeking an energetic individual to join the team of dedicated HR professionals. This position will be of interest to a recent graduate with some experience looking for an opportunity to learn within an established HR function. The position will report to the Human Resources Coordinator/Specialist for the duration of the temporary contract.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
- Participating in the recruitment of student and temporary employees
- Conducting reference checks for potential candidates
- Arranging pre-employment medicals
- Coordinating site travel requirements for potential candidates and new hires
- Maintaining employee and department files
- Assisting with benefits enquires and the administrationg of our flex benefit program, pension plan, and voluntary RRSP and stock purchase plans
- Provising front-line services by responding to requests from employees
- Facilitating new hire orientations
- Assisting with annual HR programs such as bonus awards, performance evaluations and salary reviews
- Coding invoices for timely payment
- Assisting with even planning and Company functions
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience and competencies:
- Post secondary education - certificate, diploma or degree in Human Resources Management
- Working towards achieving a CHRP designation
- 1-2 years experience within an HR function an asset, but not necessary if educational requirements are satisfied.
- If not, some business is required
- Experience with HRIS, knowledge of SAP would be a definite asset
- Advanced computer skills, using the Microsoft suite of products and internet research
- Demonstrated client service orientation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of professionals
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly detail-oriented, and able to prioritize to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to work with a diverse mix of cultures and a desire to foster continuous cultural change
- Possess a valid driver’s licence
The scheduled rotation for this position will be 4 days on and 3 days off, working 10 hours per day.
